:Agree with Jamie. "Mythical", "Legendary", "Historic", and "Folkloric" work together to adequately encompass the level of reality that Santa possesses. What else do you want? "Fictional" is not right. "False" or "Make-believe" don't really obtain, either. We don't "make it clear" in the "God" article that God absolutely doesn't exist; we shouldn't here either.
