The 2024–25 season is Morecambe's 101st season since formation, their 18th consecutive season in the Football League, and their second consecutive season in League Two, the fourth tier of English football.

Pre-season and friendlies

On 12 June, Morecambe announced their initial pre-season schedule, with matches against Kendal Town, Longridge Town, Burscough, Blackburn Rovers and Southport.[2] Three weeks later, a final pre-season fixture was confirmed, against Burton Albion.[3]

The league fixtures were released on 26 June 2024.[6]

On 27 June, the draw for the first round was made, with Morecambe being drawn away against Huddersfield Town.[8]

In the group stage, Morecambe were drawn into Northern Group C alongside Carlisle United, Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest U21.[9][10]
