"In 2008, The National Law Journal named Mayorkas one of the '50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America'."

minority? how so?

he's turkish/greek/polish on his father's side; romanian on his mothers. LATINO on neither, in spite of the name.

one can't help but feel the NLJ somehow thought him to be latino. 2601:18A:8080:EA60:B5B9:F44:98B2:F1E8 (talk) 04:39, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yeah I think NLJ made a mistake. They saw that his parents were from Cuba and automatically assumed he was a latino, but no he does not have any indigenous blood. Culturally idk. He may be Jewish culturally. Alexysun (talk) 20:59, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
i suppose they could have meant minority for BEING jewish, but i tend to doubt it. 2601:18A:8080:EA60:7C2F:105D:7643:AE73 (talk) 01:36, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
