Note to all: I am completely open to any and all changes to my contributions. Of course, only if they improve my work ;-)

I would like to move the Pic File:A-B-Z-DNA Top View.png to Commons, but therefore I have to know the Source&Author, could you maybe add this information to File:A-B-Z-DNA Top View.png?  — Johannes Kalliauer - talk | contributions 21:09, 11 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I just noticed, that is in the Internet in a lower resolution:

So I would like to know how you created the file.

I created this image sometime back around 2001. It was created using a Unix program used for X-ray crystallography. Since it was created so long ago (it was used in one of my published peer-reviewed scientific papers), I do not remember any other details. --Thorwald (talk) 02:32, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Which reference on the X Company page has the season 3 episode titles and airdates? 74thClarkBarHG (talk) 04:23, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

The first reference only has the first six episodes of the season. As for your second reference, IMDb is not a reliable source. 74thClarkBarHG (talk) 02:48, 17 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Okay. Feel free to remove any episodes that have not aired yet. However, IMBb has been spot on (episode title and air date) so far and I would be surprised if they were suddenly wrong about the remaining four episodes. In my 10+ years consulting IMDb (an Amazon company) for upcoming film and TV shows, they are rarely, if ever wrong on titles and air dates. Anyway, like I said, if you really feel that the remaining four episodes will not have the titles and air dates listed, feel free to remove them and we can add them back after they have aired. -- Thorwald (talk) 03:33, 17 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Photoresistor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ohms (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 02:30, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

The article Gazetted town has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kj cheetham (talk) 20:24, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for bringing some sense to the discussion ... this article was voted to be kept 4 years ago and the same arguments for deletion have been repeated again. They are very parochial and show an ignorance of a more global perspective Bebe Jumeau (talk) 18:41, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I agree with you (and the points you made on the main article's AfD. I also think all of the points made in favour of keeping the article in the original AfD are still relevant. -- Thorwald (talk) 21:27, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Re this, please seeWP:ELMINOFFICIAL. The Twitter, Facebook etc links are on their main site, so per the guidline, there is no need for them in the article. Thanks. Possibly (talk) 08:42, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Flirty_Fishing_references. You may wish to respond there. Before you do however, you should probably be aware that I may be obliged to ask a specific question relating to a possible CoI with regard to that particular website. Hi Thorwald. In case you'd not come across it before, I thought I'd message to ask whether there are any wikipedia articles that you'd be interested in creating/updating/overhauling and submitting for external, academic peer review.

The WikiJournal of Science (www.wikijsci.org) couples the rigour of academic peer review with the extreme reach of the encyclopedia. For existing Wikipedia articles, it's a great way to get additional feedback from external experts. Peer-reviewed articles are dual-published both as standard academic PDFs, as well as having changes integrated back into Wikipedia. This improves the scientific accuracy of the encyclopedia, and rewards authors with citable, indexed publications. It also provides much greater reach than is normally achieved through traditional scholarly publishing.

Note that we do have to publish under real names, so if you don't want your real name associated to your username, you may have to choose atopic that your username has not previously edited.

Anyway, let me know whether you'd be interested in putting an article through academic peer review (either solo, or with a team of coauthors).
