Description

Buildings on the WIPO campus in Geneva, Switzerland, feature green roofs: 2,100 square meters (22,600 square feet) of living rooftops on three of WIPO's buildings offer attractive habitats for flora and fauna alike – with more than 40 varieties of flowering plants and grasses providing resting places for insects of all kinds. In addition to supporting biodiversity, this green space improves rooftop thermal insulation, reduces ambient temperature, and allows for better drainage.

These living roofs are one of many initiatives under WIPO's carbon neutrality project, which aims to further our commitment to environmental responsibility.
