It has snowed the night before and there's been no wind. One wakes to a still silence with a touch of dread that he must soon go out into the cold. But as the shades go up, a sense of awe comes over him as he sees what God has wrought while he slept. This was taken in Chicopee, MA, but reminds me of many mornings when I was growing up in Northwest Iowa.
