'''Sahibzada Fateh Singh was a significant figure in Sikh history, known for his bravery and sacrifice at a young age. He was the youngest son of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism, and Mata Jito Ji. Born on February 25, 1699, in Anandpur Sahib, Sahibzada Fateh Singh played a pivotal role during a critical period in Sikh history. One of the defining moments in Sahibzada Fateh Singh's life occurred during the siege of Anandpur Sahib in 1705 when the Guru and his followers faced extreme hardship due to a prolonged blockade. In December 1705, Guru Gobind Singh, under the pressure of the circumstances, agreed to a safe passage for him and his followers to leave Anandpur Sahib. However, as the Guru and his family were leaving, they were attacked by the Mughal forces at the Battle of Chamkaur on December 7, 1705. In the midst of the intense battle, Sahibzada Fateh Singh, who was only about six years old at the time, displayed remarkable courage. When his elder brother, Sahibzada Ajit Singh, attained martyrdom in the battle, Sahibzada Fateh Singh, too, expressed his desire to join the fight.Legend has it that the Guru, recognizing the spirit and determination of his young son, granted him permission. Sahibzada Fateh Singh, with unyielding courage, entered the battlefield alongside his father and fought valiantly. Despite their heroic efforts, the Guru's forces faced overwhelming odds, and Guru Gobind Singh made the difficult decision to evacuate the surviving members of his family from the battlefield. As the Guru's family sought refuge in the Fort of Chamkaur, it became apparent that the situation was dire. In the face of adversity, Sahibzada Fateh Singh, along with his older brother Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, chose to remain steadfast in their faith. The two young brothers were captured by the Mughal forces and, tragically, were ordered to be bricked alive into a wall for refusing to convert to Islam. On December 26, 1705, Sahibzada Fateh Singh, at the tender age of about seven, embraced martyrdom along with his brother. Their unwavering commitment to their faith and their resilience in the face of persecution left an indelible mark on Sikh history.'''
