The 2024–25 I-League will be the 18th season of the I-League and the third season as the second tier of Indian football league system.

Two years after disbanding the Indian Arrows project, the AIFF decided to field the under-20 national side to give them game time and prepare for the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualification, 2026 AFC Asian Cup and 2026 Asian Games participation. The India U20 national team will get amnesty from promotion-relegation.[2][3]
