CSKA Sofia withdrew from the competition due to financial difficulties.[2]
Chernomorets failed to be registered the team, due to unpaid wages to players and coaches from the last season. This lead to new fixture draw for the upcoming season.[3]
Yambol withdrew from this season, due financial difficulties, the reconstruction of their arena Diana and the lack of other available and suitable basketball hall. [4]

The eleven teams played two times against each one of the other teams for a total of 20 games. The league splits into two groups (one with the top 6 teams and the other with the bottom 5 teams) and each team played two games against each one of the teams from the same group. The six teams from the first group and the best two teams from the second group joined the playoffs. [14]
