My name is Dudley Miles and I live in Finchley, London. I received a PhD for my biography of Francis Place, published in 1988.

I have been editing Wikipedia since 2006 and my main interest is Anglo-Saxon history. My other interests include human evolution and geologic periods.

I have previously worked on nature reserves and I have created articles about all Sites of Special Scientific Interest, Local Nature Reserves and Wildlife Trust nature reserves, in Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex, Greater London, Hertfordshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Rutland, Suffolk, Surrey and West Sussex, which did not already have articles, and photographed all sites in these counties (apart from a few inaccessible SSSIs) which did not already have photos on Commons.
