Hi SakurabaJun -- Sorry for being rather grumpy back in July over the image change. The bot notification caught me at a bad time -- I badly injured my thumb back a week or two earlier, so I couldn't type without severe pain and my other hobby of playing the piano appeared to be in ruins. Also your edit came on top of another editor's adding (in my opinion) pointless tags to the article, and I (wrongly) seem to have mentally conflated the two sets of edits. Thanks for starting the discussion at the journals project; it has been productive. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 23:04, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi! No worries! It was probably the first image I'd ever removed so I was a bit careless in hindsight. I get that receiving a "your image is about to be deleted" message is not so nice. Sorry about that. And thanks for the kind message. SakurabaJun (talk) 00:16, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I notice that you have removed Fred Stahl from the list of Lexicographers. I can understand that you would want anyone on the list to have an entry on Wikipedia about them, however, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to enter my own name and write my own autobiography. This creates a real dilemma for legitimate experts that have not been written about.

By way of introduction I am a retired professor at Columbia University in New York City with a Ph.D. In 1966 I compiled the first reverse (suffix) dictionary in any language (this one was in Spanish). It was published in 1973 by the University of Illinois Press. The book has been reviewed and recognized for its groundbreaking innovative work. Dr.sliderule (talk) 21:20, 5 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dear Professor Stahl!
Thank you for messaging me and not simply reverting the edit. I understand the situation. Thank you also for not creating an article about yourself. When I came across your name on Wikipedia before I thought about writing an article myself, but finding good secondary sources was not trivial. My own field is physics so directly writing about your work is outside my expertise. I found this article, but more is needed to properly establish notability. I don't have access to American newspaper archives at the moment, which I otherwise suspect could provide some good references. If you could suggest some easily accessible references that provide some basic information and establish notability, maybe I could make a draft article and submit.
