The 70th parallel south is a circle of latitude that is 70 degrees south of the Earth's equatorial plane.

The parallel passes through the Southern Ocean. It passes through Antarctica between the 50th and 60th meridian west and again skims along Antarctica's coast in the eastern hemisphere.
