Afterwards, he helped Solid Snake with the non-profit Philanthropy organization while dealing with more emotional problems in ''[[Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty]]'' and ''[[Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots]]''. Otacon / Hal Emmerich / Otacon is voiced by [[Hideyuki Tanaka]] in the Japanese version and by [[Christopher Randolph]] in the English translation.
