"Cheerleader" is a song by American musician Porter Robinson. It was released on March 20, 2024, through Mom + Pop as the lead single from his currently untitled third studio album, accompanied by a music video.[2]

It was first teased by a YouTube video on February 29, 2024. A fake documentary about Porter Robinson deleting all his music in the future[3] and a countdown in his website, porterrobinson.com It was teased again on March 1, 2024 with a picture of him with the caption "It's done" and a clip of the music. It was then teased for the final time on March 13, 2024 with the vocals.
Composition
"Cheerleader" is Porter Robinson's first solo release in two years.[4] On writing the song, he said: "When I got back in the studio for 'Cheerleader', I asked: what would be something that people could love with zero context – just instantaneous, universal, explosive connection? 'Cheerleader' is my take on bottling that feeling".[5] The song featured Robinson's own vocals.[4]
The song released with a music video directed by Hugh Mulhern,[6][7] and creative-directed by Bradley & Pablo.[8]
