Chris Janson (born c. 1986) is an American country music singer. He has charted on the Billboard country singles charts, and has written songs for Tim McGraw and Justin Moore.

Biography

Chris Janson is a seasoned entertainer. He has toured with Hank Williams Jr, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Merle Haggard and Toby Keith. Janson wrote Tim McGraw's 2012 single "Truck Yeah",[1] played harmonica on Lee Brice's album Hard 2 Love,[2] and wrote the title track to Justin Moore's 2013 album Off the Beaten Path. Additionally, Janson has played harmonica on material recorded by Justin Moore, Hank Williams Jr, Harper Simon, and John King (country singer). Janson has had additional songs recorded by Hank Williams Jr, Tim McGraw, Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, Parmalee, Frankie Ballard, Tyler Farr, Jerrod Niemann, Craig Campbell, JB and the Moonshine Band and LoCash. Janson has been featured in Rolling Stone, Country Weekly, Billboard, and American Songwriter. Janson is a frequent Guest artist on the Grand Ole Opry. National Television appearances include Fox News with Mike Huckabee, The Today Show, CMT (U.S. TV Channel) Music Awards, and Access Hollywood.

Janson self-released the single "Buy Me a Boat" in early 2015. The song debuted at number 33 on Hot Country Songs after it received airplay on the Bobby Bones Show, becoming Janson's first Number 1 on iTunes Country Chart.[3] It was officially released as a single via Warner Bros. Records Nashville in May 2015.[4]
