Early Life and Education

Sanjay Puri was born in 1965 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.[1] He received his architectural education at the Rachna Sansad’s Academy of Architecture in Mumbai, where he graduated in 1988.[2]

Career

In 1992, Sanjay Puri founded Sanjay Puri Architects.[3] During his academic years, he worked with prominent architect Hafeez Contractor and became an Associate at Contractor's firm after completing his studies.[2]

Notable Works and Awards

One of Puri’s significant projects is "The Street" in Mathura, a student hostel that has been recognized for its design and energy efficiency. This project was awarded the Best Housing Project in the World at the World Architecture Festival.[4] Sanjay Puri Architects has also completed other notable projects such as the Bombay Arts Society, the Piazza in Montenegro, and the Global City in Mumbai.[5][6]
