On July 3rd 2004 Danzig was "knocked out" by Soulfly collaborator and North Side Kings singer Danny Marianinho following a show in Tuba City, Arizona. Marianinho, whose band had travelled six hours from California to perform in the show, confronted Danzig backstage after complications led to the band being unable to play. An amateur video of the confrontation shows the two talking when Danzig yells "Fuck you motherfucker!!!" and shoves Marianinho, who retaliates by slugging Danzig and sending him to the floor with a single punch. Chaos erupts as security and fans rush in, security drags Marianho away, and Danzig remainsis seen on the floor, clearly shakenstartled. The Las Vegas Mercury reported "he was crumpled on the concrete, whilehis securityeyes dragsrolled Marianhointo awaythe back of his head and blood flowing freely from his gaping maw.
