Jannat 2 is a upcoming Bollywood crime thriller film and a sequel to the 2008 hit film, Jannat. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. It features Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta in lead roles.[1] The storyline is based on the issue of illegal arms in Delhi.[2][3][4] The film is expected to release on 4 May, 2012.[5]

Earlier, actress Prachi Desai was signed on to play the female lead opposite Emraan, but was later replaced by Esha Gupta, due to the fact that the director, Kunal Deshmukh, felt Desai could not fit the part of being bold and sensual, while Desai also was not comfortable with it. Bengali actress Paoli Dam was also reported to be considered for the female lead.[6] In October 2011, film was shot in the lines of Delhi Airport Metro Express.[7] The film wrapped up its shooting on 17 January, 2012.The film had two earlier release dates the first it was scheduled to release first on 27 April,2012 and then it was schedule to release on 11 May,2012.Now the Film will release on 4 May,2012.The music will release on March,2012.

The soundtrack is to be composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and scheduled for release on March, 2012. In November 2011, it was reported that three songs from the film have been leaked to YouTube.[8] Though actor Emraan Hashmi denied the leak and announced the songs to be fake.[9]
