In July 2016, after killing of Burhan Muzaffar Wani protests and demonstrations have taken root leading to an "ampilified instability" in the Kashmir valley. 17 day Curfew (still running) have been imposed in all 10 districts of Kashmir and over 60 (to date) civilians died and over 2000 injured in clashes with the police.<ref>
