Raver is located at North Maharashtra. It is very near (22 km) to Madhya Pradesh.21°15′N 76°02′E / 21.25°N 76.03°E.^[1] It has an average elevation of 248 metres (813 feet).

As of 2001 India census,^[2] Raver had a population of 25,949. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Raver has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 58%. In Raver, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
