In 1971, they recruited bassist John Deacon, before going on to release their self-titled debut album in 1973. Taylor is the third most credited songwriter for the band, usually contributing one or two tracks per album. Some of the most well known songs Roger wrote fror Queen are: Radio Gaga, Tenement Funster and I'm In Love With My Car. To get I'm In Love With My Car on the album A Night At The Opera (Queen album), Roger locked himself in a cupboard. Taylor also threw a TV out of a hotel window, hit Brian May with a guitar and smashed his drum kit at the end of the concert: Live At The Rainbow 1974. Roger is a very talented musician and was a key part of the song writing and image of Queen.
