WaghmareSomnath was born in Dalit - Neo Buddhist labourers family at Malewadi, a small village in Sangli district in Maharashtra. He stayed in the [[caste]] ghetto of his village for 22 years, doingcompleted his graduation in sociology atfrom KBPKarmveer CollegeBhaurao Patil college in the nearby town of Islampur.
