Merge proposal
As far as I can tell, the articles Gold Dinar and Islamic gold dinar refer to the same Gold Dinar of 4.25g of 91.7% gold, and the same Silver Dirham of 3.00g of 99.9% silver. (They use the same image, both refer to http://www.islamicmint.com/.) Gold Dinar covers the first known (historic) instances of these coins and the specifications for the modern version. Islamic gold dinar provides history and background on the Islamic significance of the coins, some background on recent history and modern use, and the conversion rate. It appears to me that these should be consolidated together on one page, and Template:Dinar should be updated accordingly. To ZeroFiveZerome (talk): Please do not simply remove the merge tag. Instead, please discuss your thoughts on this page. If you oppose the proposed merge, it would be best if you can help explain why these articles should be kept separate. Thanks, -Hamstersanonymous (talk) 18:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
