*Keep the first half Reliably sourced and accurate to said source. For brevity and weight purposes I say cut the direct quotation. The sentence beginning In a New York Times editorial is Americocentric and off-topic, since this is English Wikipedia, not American Wikipedia, and this topic is not specifically American. Any objections to adding 'race nationalism' and 'blood nationalism' terms to the lead? They are used in , for example. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus&#124;<span style="color:#7CFC00;background:#006400;"> reply here</span> 11:26, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

:I think, established terms should be used. The author could alter terms only to achieve some variety. From a Google Scholar search, I would not say that these terms seems established. race, blood compared to ethnic, racial. The term "blood nationalism" appears a few times, though, often regarding Japan and China. Same goes for the term "pure-blood nationalism" which seems to be more established, though. --Christian140 (talk) 20:30, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

There are examples such as Yuji Hosaka (:ko:호사카 유지), a history and political scientist who was born in Japan and whose parents are Japanese, but who was naturalized in South Korea and is now accepted as a "minjok" in South Korea. He even claims that South Korea's anti-Japanese sentiment has nothing to do with racism. Robert Kelly is a member of the U.S. Republican Party and judges Korea from an American perspective. B.R. Myers also referred to him as an American conservative. In particular, Robert Kelly is a biased white scholar who has been controversial over racism for his remarks on dog meat. He enjoys a lot of benefits in South Korea from his white privileges. (All the external links I presented are in Korean.) :This article should just be removed. In fact, the only people who makes edits are either foreigners who enjoy every single woegookin privileges like Robert Kelly & are angry at us because they were disserviced once, people who failed in Japan and are now sour towards us because their alternative is Korea, or people from 4chan who have an agenda against "Asian weebs".

:+ We don't even do the dumb Hanminjok identity thing anymore except for old people (from both left and right wings) who have never met a foreigner in their lives or stepped out of the country.

:Why keep it? Thickmelon (talk) 06:36, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
