The Black Company Wiki external link
I can't imagine a better external link than the Wiki for this series, which has been around since 2012 and has had contributors from around the globe. It is a huge resource for the series and there is nothing else like it on the web... exactly the kind of thing readers here at Wikipedia may want to follow up on in another browser tab. I have reviewed WP:ELNO and cannot find any grounds for its erasure there. Blue Danube (talk) 16:05, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

:It falls well short of the 'substantial number of editors' exception outlined in ELNO#12. As per WP:ELBURDEN I am removing it unless and until there is consensus established for its inclusion. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:27, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Please can you clarify what is a 'substantial number of editors'? Blue Danube (talk) 18:44, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

:There is no defined number but typically we look for 100+ active - ie having edited in the past month. This site appears to have 1. Nikkimaria (talk) 21:21, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

How many wikis can possibly meet that arbitrary criterion? Wookiepedia, Memory Alpha, some handful of others. According to what you're saying, you will be erasing the link for Memory Alpha at the Star Trek article if the quantity of users there peters down? No, I do not believe you would: you'd be leaving it because the resource it represents is solid and not full of stubs. The same thing with the Black Company wiki. It has pages for virtually all characters and events and is a natural website to link here. Blue Danube (talk) 06:14, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

:Yes, there are relatively few wikis that meet that criterion; that's intentional, because they are exceptions rather than the rule. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:58, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand... does this mean you will erase the link to Memory Alpha if the volume of editors peters off? Blue Danube (talk) 19:44, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

:Potentially so. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:54, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Let us meet halfway, here. Currently we've got that external link to that fan-made maps site which has been rotting there since 2006. Those maps were made in MS Paint in 1999. Let that be replaced that with a link to the professionally-made map that appeared in the RPG. While it is hosted at the wiki, the text which appears in the External Links section to the link shall remain the same: "Black Company Maps". It can be treated as an updated link. Deal? Blue Danube (talk) 04:05, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

:No deal. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:11, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

You didn't reply for 20 days. You don't just get to swing in and say this. Blue Danube (talk) 13:36, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

:You didn't reply for more than double that. You also haven't met the burden for inclusion of the disputed link. Nikkimaria (talk) 20:14, 8 July 2021 (UTC)

Different link. This is a direct one to the maps. Previously it was just a main page link to the wiki. You didn't dispute the map link. Blue Danube (talk) 03:06, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

:Same site, same guidelines, same burden. Nikkimaria (talk) 13:59, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Port of Shadows chronology
So Port of Shadows was listed in the Books of the North section as it supposedly takes place between The Black Company and Shadows Linger. However many fans(notably in the black company subreddit) think there is some kind of time travel shenanigans going on and it's not quite a true interquel. Someone moved it into the spin off section with The Silver Spike which I agree with, regardless of possible time fuckery if we're not going to list The Silver Spike in the books of the north when it chronologically takes place after The White Rose and is set in the north then we shouldn't have Port of Shadows up there either. I also edited the spin off section to note that it supposedly takes place between the first two books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.136.17.108 (talk) 15:51, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
