The next step will be to add sections for each of the three major divisions with subsections for each story plus The Silver Spike. The characterization and plot of the major divisions are such that characterization paragraphs can be dealt with at the section level.

Overall timelines, plot synopses and character portraits are available at the external links' sites or can be extracted by the wiki editor from the stories. Also, there is considerable information online that is at variance with portions of the stories' content, so gleaning is needed. Mikereichold 04:03, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Removed (for the second time) an external link for "The Black Company - Age of Conan". It's a link to the forums of a guild for the MMORPG Age of Conan.

A guild for an unreleased MMO that has only 18 members registered on it's forums is hardly notable. Even if it were notable, it's not appropriate to have a link from this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.232.92.116 (talk) 06:29, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

These are two entirely different gaming guilds. Our Black Company gaming guild (TBC) has been around since April of 2003, has over 75 active members, and is active in four games including Eve Online, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty 4, and now Age of Conan. We have played the open beta for the Age of Conan, the gold version of which goes live in the US this week (Saturday the 17 for pre-orders). We would like to list our guild here because it is patterned after the Black Company of Glen Cook's books, including leadership hierarchies, standard symbology, as well as the tradition of having an Annalist who records our guild activities in a living history. We take great pride in our guild and are by no means new kids on the block (most of us are in our 30's and we require all applicants to be of adult age). Please let us have an external link here as we do this for fun, for love of games, out of a passion for all things Black Company and not for profit. Thank you.

We are not an Age of Conan guild and this is the first time we've attempted to list our site on Wikipedia. If you still believe we are in violation, that's fine we won't add our listing again.
