Returning artists

Anna Bergendahl previously represented Sweden with the song "This Is My Life" in 2010. Tinkara Kovač represented Slovenia with "Round and Round" in 2014. Senhit previously represented San Marino in the 2011 contest with the song "Stand By".[5] Lake Malawi represented the Czech Republic in the 2019 contest with "Friend of a Friend". MADARA also represented Latvia in 2018 with the song "Esamība".

Vasil provided backing vocals for Tamara Todevska for North Macedonia in 2019.[6] Stefania represented the Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 as part of the group Kisses.[7] Destiny Chukunyere won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and provided backing vocals for Michela Pace for Malta in 2019.[8] Vladimir Arzumanyan won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 for Armenia.

Eurovision Song Contest 2021

Returning artists

After the 2020 contest, the participating broadcasters of the following 15 countries announced that for the 2021 contest, they would internally select the same artists initially selected for 2020: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Malta, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Discounting 2020, so far, the contest is set to feature three representatives who also previously performed as lead vocalists for the same country, and five artists who participated in other Eurovision events or as backing vocalists for the same or for another country.
