I have asked for feedback on our content dispute at the Big Brother talk page. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 08:46, 14 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

You seem to want an edit war. This is against Wikpedia best practice. With several 1000 hits per day, you're in the minority and going against the consensus of previous contributors.
Please read this before making accusations. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 09:15, 14 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding or significantly changing content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to List of Big Brother 2011 housemates (UK), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Hallows AG(talk) 20:26, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Big Brother 2011 (UK) with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I have removed the detailed summary as it was too long and changed it into weekly summary which will be fine sho update that but ONLY with main events in the house not every single detail. Thanks. --MSalmon (talk) 08:57, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is vandalism, the table is inaccurate and the detailed updates are needed with no live feed and poor social media coverage. You have vandalised by going against the consensus established for CBB2011 which used a written summary.
I changed it to a weekly summary rather than a detailed summary to remove all the rubbish that no one cares about --MSalmon (talk) 09:28, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I see your condensing down of the week 1 summary has not happened yet as it is still too long. --MSalmon (talk) 10:20, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
It is, much progress without losing essence of content.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please know that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on Big Brother 2011 (UK). If you create or edit an article, know that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Yes, but removing whole edited sections with refs is not good faith. As explained, the new expanded format is due to lack of live feed.
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Live feed's existence or not is irrelevant. This is Wikipedia; we are not Twitter, Facebook, or the webpage of the television program. LadyofShalott 14:35, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I removed the vandalism notice, because on further review a lot of the unencyclopedic content was not your edits but that of an editor, but I note that there appears to be somewhat of an edit war on this page, and the general tone/content of the article is unencyclopedic in areas. How is it relevant to the article, per WP:WEIGHT, is how floppy a person's genitals are or whether or not their genitals were bulging or merely noticeable (something you added)? I would recommend that you discuss on the talk these issues and come to a consensus on how to rework this article. Moogwrench (talk) 21:02, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you watched the programme, you would see that some of the housemates have talked about the size of their genitals, e.g. once said he had a small penis, he is a streaker. Another told the producers he had a large penis and like to show it. They have been talking on the show about this topic and many have had their genitals filmed on camera, so it's in the context of a light-hearted reality show. On this series, they have a slogan, Willy, willy, willy due to all the talk about penises. A lot of these details will be edited out as other things happen to record.

Please refrain from using purely numeric date formats on Wikipedia, as you did on List of Big Brother 2011 housemates (UK). A date written as 01/02/03 means 1 February 2003 to a European, 2 January 2003 to an American or 3 February 2001 to a Japanese. Rather, use one of the date formats that is standard across Wikipedia: 28 September 2024 for articles on British/European topics, September 28, 2024 for articles on American topics, otherwise just keep it consistent throughout the article. Thank you. — Smjg (talk) 23:02, 25 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can I point you in the direction of WP:BOLD and urge you to put your proposals for content on the article talk page here [1] Leaky Caldron 13:44, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on Big Brother 2011 (UK). Thank you. Accusing others of vandalism in edits such as this is not OK. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 14:05, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Leaky Caldron 14:11, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

That applies to you as well keep removing 3 weeks of referenced material. You're in the wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.176.153.183 (talkcontribs)
You may want to read up on Wikipedia's guidelines. You are edit-warring, and the logical consequence of that is a block. Look at the talk page: you have no consensus. Drmies (talk) 14:20, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, you started the edit war by cutting and pasting threatening icons and removing carefully edited material. Put it back, you are censoring free access. The consensus is the other 3, 000 hits who were OK with it.
