Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Miso_Kovac.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Videmus Omnia 14:37, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Based on your interest in the Balkans, you may be interested in the currently ongoing debate on whether we should be using Kosovo or Kosovar/Kosovan as the adjective for Kosovo. —Nightstallion 15:15, 31 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Bregovic Redzic Bebek 2005.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:34, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Gornji_grad_medvescak_map.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 16:28, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

You initially posted the page Wikipedia:Sock puppetry/Notes for the suspect. There is a discussion at its talk page that you may want to participate in. -- Jreferee t/c 22:04, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 01:09, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sinjska alka was deleted as a broken redirect under WP:CSD#R1. It pointed to Alka. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 20:53, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, (hope I'm doing this right) I noticed you re-referenced the dates of the Third Wave experiment as 1969. I went to Cubberley during all this, and the Third Wave experiment was in April, 1967. I wasn't in Jones class myself, but I was a photojournalist at the time. I've posted the references to my website www.cubberleycatamount.com with scans from the original articles from the original student paper at Cubberley. I tried to reference these in the wiki article, but I'm not sure if I've got them referenced correctly or not - maybe you can help me fix it up properly, assuming it looks OK to you. There have been a number of articles after this time which have gotten the timeframe wrong, but these dates are confirmed both in the Catamount and in "Hassling", by Sylvia Berry Williams. Jones had left Cubberley (fired and/or resigned - he was supposedly offered another job in the district, but declined it) by June of 1969. Jones did a "United Student Movement" simulation/experiment in December 1967, and an Apartheid "experiment" in 1968 (using the color of hair or eyes or something like that as the discriminator). I hope this is how I'm supposed to communicate one-on-one... if not, sorry(!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Meadowvistan1984 (talkcontribs) 05:46, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excellent! Thank you for pointing this out, I fixed the error and will take some time to expand the article with references you provided. Thank you very much for this input, and welcome to Wikipedia! --Dijxtra 13:15, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

HDZ also has 67 - it signed a coalition contract with the minority representative from the Mreza romskih udruga. --PaxEquilibrium 09:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, but the only problem is that minority representative is not 100% sure to enter the parilament :-) See here: [1]. --Dijxtra 09:56, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Lol, didn't see that. ;) --PaxEquilibrium 11:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I found out you excluded Granić and several others from the Mayors of Zagreb category. I also don't think they should be considered real mayors, but I put them in the category because they were in the List of mayors of Zagreb. Could you delete them from that article to avoid additional confusion or set up a seperate list for mayor nominees who failed to become mayors? Thanks. Admiral Norton (talk) 20:23, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I removed them from the list and pointed to the Zagreb Crisis article which mentions all of those candidates for mayor. --Dijxtra 20:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK thanks Admiral Norton (talk) 21:44, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
These articles have to go somewhere, so I put them in their own category - Category:Zagreb Crisis mayors. Admiral Norton (talk) 22:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
I moved the category to Category:Zagreb Crisis mayor nominees, this would be more precise. --Dijxtra (talk) 22:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

...and all the best in the new one!!! --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 00:01, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Baci pogled ovdje.

Hvala ti. Pozdrav --Suradnik13 (talk) 12:44, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Je, vidim da je stanje katastrofalno. Probat ću to uredit danas do neke normalne mjere... Hvala što si mi svrnuo pažnju na to ;-) --Dijxtra (talk) 12:46, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

D, could you please check out the Serb propaganda article, Wikipedia:Coatrack and Wikipedia:Content forking and tell me sincerely what you think? Cheers. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 23:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hahahahaha, I just can't believe they really took time to write all that. Now I see why Duja took the hike :-D Sorry, no way am I touching that can of worms. I just don't have the time and enthusiasm to fight with all that brain damage on Wikipedia. If you see somebody breaking 3RR or doing some obvious vandalism, just drop me a note and I'll nail the guy, but I just don't wish to fight hordes of lunatic ultranationalists anymore. Sorry. --Dijxtra (talk) 23:40, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
