Humans are remarkably adaptable and are able to subsist on a wide variety of foods, from a heavily meat-based diet as in the case of the [[Inuit]], who subsist primarily on raw fish and seal meat, all the way to the [[raw vegan]] diet, which is comprised of raw vegetables, fruits and nuts. The [[vegetarian]] article lists the numerous cultures in which vegetarianism is commonplace, and the religions which involve a vegetarian diet as part of the religious tradition. In these cultures, eating red meat is not normal or acceptable. This has nothing to do with "dictating policy". There is no "policy", there are simply different behaviors. I think that Wikipedia has a tendency to favor the American viewpoint and consider that "normal" above other cultures. :To return back to the topic at hand: what exactly do you find problematic about the current version of the paragraph?
