:::You are correct, it says born in France rather than French-born, and I wouldn't take is askance if you changed the phraseology (as far as I'm concerned, the exact phraseology is a minor issue - I don't know whether he has rights to French citizenship or not, because even though France is one of the few European ''Jus Soli'' nations, there are restrictions which I haven't dug into). But his birthplace is evidently part of his identity, given that in his fifty-word life summary he spends three words on that. I think removing it entirely is incorrect.
