:{{u|Vjmlhds}} Thanks for the temperate reply. I believe in redemption wherever possible, and the block right now is indefinite in the literal sense, not the infinite sense, pending discussion. I generally discount "the admins are all against me" outbursts:" they're not unusual and go with the territory. We've all had to ignore much worse. I'm not inclined to make a change in your editing status right now, but I have a couple of ideas that I'll present this evening when I have a chance to work them through. ::I am actually against the lifetime ban. I know what VJ said in the past, but when his mind's right, he does some good work on here. A "cooling off" period may be a good idea, but not a permanent one. VJ -- why don't you relax between now, and say, April 2? Maybe a four week ban, and you're back in time to edit WrestleMania? :::{{u|Kjscotte34}} All due respect, I'd rather voluntarily back away if things get heated around here. Remember, at the end of the day, Wikipedia editors are people, not robots - there will be disputes, because people (as a whole - not singling anybody out) get into disputes...it's what they do. As a 10 year Wikipedian, I want to be able to control my own fate, and not have to "sit in solitary" if you will. I'll be OK from a non-Wiki standpoint...all I ask from a Wiki standpoint is to be able to contribute, and not have people look at me like some kind of ogre. People like Mr. Spock and Sheldon Cooper (emotionless logic obsessed quasi-robots) are fictional. I think Wiki would be better served if some human factor was taken into account when things happen, because long after I'm gone, there will be others who have knockdown drag outs. You will never, ever NOT have disputes/arguments/fights on Wikipedia as long as people can edit it. If you open things up to all under the banner of collaboration, and then expect 100% perfect harmony and sameness, you will always be sadly disappointed, because people are always gonna be people. Not to say people can't try to better, but you will ALWAYS have some kind of issue. Want to completely avoid issues, then close it off to everyone other than a select few. Want to open it up to everybody, then you have to expect a bumpy road now and then. I can try to help make the road better, but to do that, I have to be here...I can't help make this place what it can by being on the outside looking in. All I'm saying is, that Wiki (and life in general) would work better overall if people can be be people and sometimes just allowing nature to take it's course instead of legislating everything to the nub. Not saying people shouldn't be slapped when needed (I was blocked 24 hours, that came and went, but then got changed to indefinite because of past sins that were already dealt with), but also that not everything needs to go right to "red alert" either.
