Slowest country in potty training
What is the most laziest/relaxed country when it comes to potty training? I see that many African countries train their kids very early, but is there a culture, or country that trains their kids very late, for example, past the age of 3? --Walffodton (talk) 12:44, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

:In India, according to a BBC article, 48% of the people don't have access to "proper sanitation", so training drops by the wayside (as do other things). ::Learning to go outside and squat behind a bush still qualifies as "potty training", whether or not there is an actual "potty". The critical thing to be learned is not to go in your pants. I would suspect that richer nations might wait longer, since it makes a lot less mess if you can afford disposable diapers, baby wipes, etc. StuRat (talk) 17:08, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

*Blocked by jpgordon, apparently the poo troll again. If someone wants, this could just be blanked. μηδείς (talk) 18:12, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

::This is silly. I don't care what the user has done elsewhere, but this is a question that can be answered with references. Give it a rest, WP will not crumble if you stop hatting everything you possibly can. If you are right, and this is a troll, then you are feeding it. You know what trolls hate? Answers that supply references, WP:AGF, and don't get upset about bodily functions. Try that next time. *SemanticMantis is right. What 'are' the obvious reasons, why this question should be hatted?--Aspro (talk) 20:42, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

***If it was posted by a banned editor, it is allowed to be removed, subject to consensus to do so. It is not mandated that it must be removed. I'm not committing one way or the other as to whether this should or shouldn't be removed. But the rationale that says we're required to do something on the say-so of one or two people isn't how Wikipedia works. Yes, things posted by banned users may be removed. "May" is not a synonym for "must". --<span style="color:#009">Jayron</span><b style="color:#090">32</b> 23:53, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

::::I agree. Even if it maybe a seemingly joke question or trolling, if we can give valid information and answers to the question, then why not? The suspected troll may have a laugh or whatever, but in any case, we are providing valid information which can be used by other people in the future who may be searching for an answer to this or a similar question in AGF. Are we agreed? <span style="text-shadow:#BBBBBB 0.2em 0.2em 0.1em; class=texhtml"><font face="MV Boli" color="blue">KägeTorä - (影虎) (Chin Wag)</font></span> 00:40, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

:As for references, we have toilet training, elimination communication, Baby-led potty training, Infant_Potty_Training, and Open-crotch pants. These all have decent ref lists, and some of them mention differences in ages between different time periods and cultures. I'd like Jpgordon to comment. The principle is that we don't allow blocked editors to evade blocks. If this is Bowei Huang or some other recognized sock, the question is supposed to be deleted on sight. If SM or Aspro want to ask the same question they are always free to do so. :In actual answer to the OP's question - it does not depend on the country, as such, but more on the parents themselves. In Japan, I worked as a teacher of English to children, and there was one boy at a fledgling language centre who was really intelligent (and who was there almost all day, so I doubt he was actually going to school), and one day he went to the toilet in the language centre, and then started calling for someone (actually his mummy, who was not there, as she'd left him with us while she went shopping) to wipe his arse. My boss asked me to do it (being the only male teacher in the centre), but I refused, saying "It's not in my contract, mate." The kid was in there for about half an hour, until the boss went in and did it himself. The kid was 7 years old. He should have been taught to do it himself far earlier than that. <span style="text-shadow:#BBBBBB 0.2em 0.2em 0.1em; class=texhtml"><font face="MV Boli" color="blue">KägeTorä - (影虎) (Chin Wag)</font></span> 23:26, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
