Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 14:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One week semi-protection, because of the film's release in 4 days, it's a target for IP vandalism (they've already started). Elbutler (talk) 02:57, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. and also pages aren't protected preemptively. Malinaccier (talk) 05:20, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  Semi-protected 1 day. Malinaccier (talk) 05:22, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What good is one day? Elbutler (talk) 12:41, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

semi-protect temporarily in place of full protect. As agreed at WT:MOSDAB#Update disambig template?, we would like to implement new parameters, as currently illustrated at the test template {{DAB}}. Several editors might like to add alternative parameter values, so the most convenient way to do this will be to temporarily remove full protection.--Kotniski (talk) 12:22, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Declined With 102,640 links, this is out of the question. Please use {{editprotected}}, and preferably the decided parameters should be added with one edit (not several, as this will clog up the job queue). Thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

semi-protect. Recent vandalism is getting out of hand. --TS 11:52, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 week, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 11:55, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

semi-protect. Permanently blocked User:Cosialscastells is returning to the article as an anon IP - recommend stopping IP and new editors from changing the article until he gets bored. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 11:33, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Keep the article watchlisted and deal with it that way. GbT/c 11:34, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary full protection vandalism, This account is attracting a lot of POV pushing from users as well as IPs. They are also unwilling to contribute positively. That's why I am requesting a temporary full protection. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 11:29, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request semi-protection for {{Michelle McManus}} due to repeated IP and new-user suspected socks of banned editor. Same rationale for existing semi-protection of Michelle McManus. Recommend same expiration as article. Previously listed on January 24, declined then with the comment "If it gets worse, relist your request." davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 06:56, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Many unconstructive edits have been made to the article as of late. -- Luke4545 (talk) 06:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 3 days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 11:57, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection vandalism, The article was semi-protected earlier in the month due to vandalism after doing so was mentioned on an episode of 30 Rock. The protection expired earlier Friday. The present vandalism once again repeats what was mentioned on the tv show. I don't think the protection was quite long enough to let this drop from present memory. . Wildhartlivie (talk) 06:35, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 2 weeks, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Also   Move protected indefinitely. Thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

  • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
  • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
  • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
  • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Declined No rationale given whatsoever. -Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 07:50, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.

  • Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
  • Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the {{Edit COI}} template should be used.
  • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
  • If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
  • This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
