Rollback

Sorry, unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions.

Please review Wikipedia:Rollback before making a request. Applicants with fewer than 200 mainspace edits are unlikely to be granted this right. More importantly, applicants must have a measurable track record of counter-vandalism and no recent history of edit warring. The counter-vandalism training program is available if you wish to gain experience in handling vandalism.

Hello, I believe that I have enough experience in editing the English Wikipedia to have this role granted. I have some experience in quickly reverting vandalism on tornado-related pages (e.g. the March 31-April 1st outbreak page) and I believe that rollback would come in handy in situations like this and make the process of reverting vandalism like this much quicker and more efficient than reverting with Twinkle or pressing undo. I promise to not misuse the tool in situations where explaining a reversion becomes necessary, and the tool would only be used in instances of clear vandalism.

If there are any issues with this, just let me know. Thanks, ChrisWx (talk - contribs) 17:58, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •   Not done I'm not seeing a long track record of dealing with vandalism - most of your reverts seem to have been over the past few days [1]. I think Twinkle would be sufficient for your needs for now (it's really not much slower than standard rollback). If you find yourself reverting vandalism more often, feel free to re-apply. Alright, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know and reviewing. I'll reapply when I have dealt with vandalism more. ChrisWx (talk - contribs) 21:35, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would like rollback because I want to revert vandalism faster and use more advanced tools such as Huggle and AntiVandal. I have experience using RedWarn to revert vandalism, and I understand the policies, such as distinguishing vandalism from good-faith edits such as tests. Hi. I'm requesting rollback rights to help with anti-vandalism, which I occasionally work on. It's necessary in order to use some tools like WP:AntiVandal, and useful for similar tasks. I've read the policies and have a decent amount of experience with manually reverting vandalism. Thanks! Clearfrienda 💬 03:46, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting rollback rights MahR KinG💫 (talk) 17:12, 24 April 2023 (UTC) Hi, I'm trying to eliminate vandalism in my free time, so I want wikipedia to be as good as possible. I am familiar with wikipedia policies and try to treat any vandalism properly in accordance with the policies.[reply]
