Each debate has two teams, the Proposition and the Opposition. Three members from each team speak in each round, delivering a total of six eight-minute substantive speeches. Then, each team delivers a 4-minute "reply speech". The tournament includes six preliminary rounds in which all teams participate. Two preliminary rounds are always prepared, using either one motion or two separate motions. The rest of the preliminary rounds and all elimination rounds are debated impromptu, with motions announced 60 minutes ahead of the round.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
