Editor Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

User Msnicki is an editor that values the importance of respect and appreciates the mutually pleasant work space that respect can create. An active editor since early 2011, she has almost 9000 edits and always uses the edit summary. She doesn't hold grudges and has been described as "clear eyed, consistent and even in tone" and someone that holds "keeping the Peace" in high regard. Her general area of interest seems to be computers and programming; areas of editing that are fraught with arguments and strife over sometimes trivial differences. I invite you to read some of the talk pages on articles Msnicki has worked on and notice the co-operative environment she creates with her fellow editors. Where others might "go on the attack" and increase the building tension, she negotiates from a position of understanding. She is a great example of what it takes to be a good Wikipedia editor. This nomination was seconded by User:MelanieN.

I saw your ping about an article about Nicole Hamilton. It does sound interesting and I would be willing to assist if you were to sandbox a biography of her in your userspace and ping me to look it over. I have autopatrolled rights on WP and could move it into article space once it is good enough to avoid the AfD crowd. I usually recommend people avoid AfC or draft space (where good draft articles go to die), just use your own space and do up a sandbox like this: User:Msnicki/Nicole Hamilton. If you work on it in your own user space, that is OK. (Just saw where they did that for someone else) Then when you are ready to go to article space, then ask a user -- or better yet, more than one -- to review the article for neutrality, sourcing, notability and all that. Basically, it's like an AfC review, only with people who actually create content and who will be willing to help you work on the article and be sure it passes WP:N, WP:RS and all the other WP:ABCDEFG stuff. Once it moves to prime time, the {{COI}} template might have to be placed on the talk page to acknowledge your role in its creation, but with enough review from neutral people, it should pass. As you know, I favor seeing good articles on women in STEM fields being created, but no one is going to accuse me of being somehow biased in your favor, which actually will help. I might ask a couple other editors I respect to look it over, and if it gets the green light, you can then not only have the article moved into article space without running the gauntlet of AfD trolls, you also will have those of us who reviewed it already set to defend it if someone goes after it anyway. At least, that's my thinking. I'm looking at ways that the WP:COI issue can be handled in a way that allows appropriate articles to be created by knowledgeable people without causing a TOS/MOS/COI (ABCDEFG) violation of some kind. Took a look at Draft:Nicole Hamilton and left a few comments on the top page. It looks to me like notability can probably be established for this individual, but they are going to need to find some additional third-party references that say so.
