Hi, UOResearch, thanks for your edit to Sainte-Olive, and also for the edit summary, where you wrote: Transferred a section from the french page. You have exactly the right instincts about attribution, but it doesn't quite go far enough. The guideline Copying within Wikipedia covers the procedure for this. Note that unlike Wikipedia Policy or Guidelines, which in a sense are merely strong recommendations, the attribution requirement is just that: a requirement as a matter of U.S. Copyright law, as explained in section Attribution is required for copyright. I think you went about 90% of the way to meet this requirement, but just to be safe, it would be better to use the verbiage in the gray box in the first paragraph. When the source is copied from a foreign language source, then the verbiage is given at WP:TFOLWP. Again, thanks; you're already doing better than most; this is mostly just a heads-up so you can have the links to where this can easily be looked up, so you can copy the boilerplate text given. Hi everyone. I see this is a previously discussed, and unresolved, issue: the threshold for notability for an accredited school. Two years, ten years; two students, two hundred students; famous students, famous founders ... It looks like there are millions of schools and graduate programs with pages on wikipedia. To me, this seems like a good thing, because schools are generally self-promoting, and independent articles about them are important. Hi Deb, thank you for pointing this out. I'm not paid for this work, and I'm not representing anyone, with my still very novice and random attempts at wiki editing. I edit or add pages about interesting topics, people, or programs, that I hear about at faculty events. I suppose 'uoresearcher' would be a more appropriate username, and I'm happy to change to something like that, if you like. But perhaps this note will suffice as clarification? Please let me know. If you work for or are closely connected with the University of Oregon Research Department (if there is such a thing), you should not edit articles on topics related to that department (like PUARL). Whether or not you work for the University of Oregon, you shouldn't use a name that suggests you do. Does that make sense? Deb (talk) 21:38, 28 October 2018 (UTC) Yes, that makes sense. Hi Deb. Ah, I get it: I haven't incorporated enough third-party references. I'll do that. I see this program, and its international conference, has been running for 10 years, producing about 197 listings in Google Scholar. I'll also look for a reference to the number of program graduates.
