Template:Infobox Paris Network main content (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Effectively single-use. Sub-template of {{Infobox Paris Network}} (and formerly another template, since deleted) into which it should be Subst:. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:07, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yet {{Infobox Paris Network}} is being used in other articles. Any info on how to Subst: would be welcome, though. Then, effectively, this template can be deleted. THEPROMENADER   07:48, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That the parent template is being used does not mean that we need to keep this sub-template; the content can be written directly into the main template. To demonstrate this, and test for any issues, I've now Subst: the nominated template into {{Infobox Paris Network}}. Brilliant! I wasn't familiar with the term 'Subst:' so thought it involved something more complicated. Thanks. THEPROMENADER   15:42, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, delete away. THEPROMENADER   15:43, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Convert/words (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

This template proposes to do unit conversions based on expressions in words. It deals with both written-out numbers and rough expressions like "a few" and "several". The written-out number functionality is redundant since {{convert}} now has the capacity to spell numbers out. The conversions based on rough expressions are more problematic and often give quite strange results.

A major problem with this template is that the conversion often comes out sounding not so rough. That is, it is giving use false precision (see the {{convert}} talk page for more information).

There seems to be no clear and simple way of avoiding this problem. Rough expressions are not really the kind of thing you convert with a template.Jimp 04:18, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per nom. The editor can always spell out the desired wordings, while checking for being sensible. -DePiep (talk) 10:02, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
