now replaced by Template:Sports rivalry series table, which eliminates the need to create one of these for every single rivalry article. note, there is still some debate concerning the precise output format used by Template:Sports rivalry series table (see discussion here), but it is fairly clear that we are moving toward more consistency, not less. more consistency = single format, less consistency = a different template for each article. note that I am the one who rolled out Template:Sports rivalry series table but only in articles where doing so would not significantly change the appearance/format. - Delete per Frietjes' nomination, with the caveat that this discussion be allowed to continue for at least two weeks because of the large number of templates, the large number of template creators, and the on-going discussion at WT:CFB linked by Frietjes above. While I strongly support Frietjes' approach in this proposed deletion, all concerned editors should be given a fair opportunity to weigh in on this TfD discussion and the related WikiProject discussion that are going to impact over 200 articles, and forge a consensus consolidation of multiple formats now in use.
