Propose merging Template:1895 college football independents records with Template:1895 college football records.
New template doesn't conform with existing naming convention, as seen at Category:NCAA Division I FBS independents football records templates. UW Dawgs (talk) 02:05, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- UW Dawgs, are you suggesting that the target should be the older Template:1895 college football records? As discussed previously, there's a problem with the naming of the templates you recently created, namely that "independent" is missing from their titles. Prior to 1892, "Template:YYYY college football records" seems fine. But starting in 1892 we have conference standings templates, so "independent" is necessary. - Again, per Category:NCAA Division I FBS independents football records templates, these two do not conform to the current naming structure of that era. Let's correct them as they are wrong. If you care to propose larger project and new naming convention, you're welcome to do so (or be just bold).
