Identitarianism is currently a redirect to white supremacy. There's not a need to have a general template which could be transcluded to other articles as an attempt to push POV/spin terminology which seeks to distance articles associated with racism from commonly used terms for the activities or ideologies of the subjects of those articles. An info box on Identitarian movement is more than sufficient as as it stands. the contents of the template proposed here for deletion actively evade terminology which should be included per WP:DUE Edaham (talk) 04:21, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Identitarian movement makes clear that it's a form of white nationalism, which already has {{White nationalism}}. I do not see any benefit to using this template instead of that one. In fact, it may obscure the true nature of the movement, as reliable sources have described it as a white supremacism. Meanwhile we have figures such as Richard B. Spencer being included in the template. Spencer has been identified by reliable sources as a white supremacist, but he self-identifies as an identitarian, raising the question of whether identitarianism is sometimes used as a euphemism for white supremacism. Put this all together and I think {{Identitarian Movement}} is harmful, not helpful to the encyclopedia. @DrFleischman: Result of this TfD aside, in the absence of independent secondary sourcing, there's a strong case for removal of Spencer. - Ryk72 'c.s.n.s.' 06:46, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
When should we use a sidebar-style navigation template rather than a footer-style navigation template? Smooth alligator (talk) 02:07, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete (I'm the proposing editor) the policies which apply here are:
    • WP:NPOV specifically WP:POVNAMING which states, Descriptive titles should be worded neutrally, so as not to suggest a viewpoint for or against a topic This applies to template titles (and contents). The title in question is biased in favor of using a more palatable word or marketing term for a subject which is commonly referred to using terminology more neutrally descriptive and recognizable in common parlance. If used, this template will suggest academic and categoric support for a term which is biased in favor of supporting a cause for which Wikipedia does not stand. Identitarianism is a subsection of white nationalism. We have a neo-Nazi tag, even as they are white nationalists. DrawingLol (talk) 21:15, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
