There are theories in the academic world that the Vaks and Garwians were in contact twenty to thirty thousand years ago. The Garwians were a sentient species that hailed from the Unknown Regions planet Solitair. Their government was the Garwian Unity, which ruled Solitair and five colony worlds including Stivic. The Garwians were notable traders and merchants within their section of the Unknown Regions, and their planets served as regional trade hubs among various sentient species.[1]
