Many sports teams at Lawrence become very similar to a cult. Many or all members of one grade and gender will be on this team. Some examples are: Girls Rugby Football Girls Field Hockey

The school donates and runs events for many charities such as United Way, building schools in Africa, and various others.

The school motto is Amor doctrinae floreat, or "Let the love of learning flourish."

The school has been painted only once, in 1936. The Canadian singer Shiloh sang one of her songs in the school in room 102, the girls washroom on the first floor, the first floor hallway, and outside in the front of the school.

Canadian singer Neil Young was expelled from Lawrence Park for riding his motorcycle through the halls in an attempt to stir up excitement for the release of the film Kangaroo Jack, in which Young had a brief speaking part.

Also, the movie The Pacifier has one of its fight scene taken in the north gym on the first floor.

Being Erica's pilot episode was shot in the school's basement and main floor hallway

Scenes for the movies Dick and Model Behavior were filmed at the school.
