:Does ordinary spice (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, bay leaf, etc.) in an ordinary serving (around 1 tablespoon, not 1 teaspoon, have enough eugenol for any (even the tiniest) amount of anasthesia? Or does it have to be refined? This is not a druggy question, if that is what you're thinking. :I´m allergic to metil-eugenol and the ammount of it in spices (except for jamaican pepper and clove) isn´t enough to cause me allergic reactions. Use in "biological" weed killers and (at least in Tomcat brand) glue traps. Clove oil or eugenol are listed in some "bio" weed killer. Both clove oil or eugenol are listed in DIY weed control and pest control (e.g. roaches) recipes making the rounds on the web. People are likely to come here for background information. Might be nice if something could be added here.
