Hello! I'm Scholarus from the United States of America.

My time here on Wikipedia has been rather short; however, I'm fairly confident that my focus will be expanding historically-related articles. My first step as a Wikipedia Editor was writing the Edward Bancroft article, a task that was quite interesting. However, besides history I am interested in a variety of other article topics. Learning is my passion; I'll therefore be all over the place trying to help out Wikipedia and learn as I go along.

Interests
TV shows
Some of my favorite TV shows are:

*Seinfeld

*The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

*The Cosby Show

*Grey's Anatomy

Chess
I'm an experienced tournament player and have a good deal of knowledge about playing the game and also about the history of the game. I have played former world champion Garry Kasparov twice, both in simultaneous matches (he was playing more than one person at the same time). I obviously lost both times, but it was a blast being able to play him anyway. Other notable chess grandmasters I have played are Yasser Seirawan, Joel Benjamin, Hikaru Nakamura, Lev Alburt. One notable thing about the Seirawan game was that I had to leave in the middle of the game- but it killed me to do so because I was winning. Although, even though I was winning, I probably would have lost in the end, so that doesn't really matter. I've also met Joshua Waitzkin, whom you might know from the movie Searching for Bobby Fischer.

Mathematics
I am a math geek; I'm proud to say that in second grade I earned the nickname "mathematician." I'm generally best at the calculating parts of math, but I've enjoyed all the math that I've learned. I won't be editing many math articles on Wikipedia as they're beyond my understanding now (I'm in highschool), but perhaps I will in the future.

Science
I come from a science background and am interested in all forms of science. My area of expertise in the science field is definitely biology, and I will have no problem editing any biology related articles. I am very interested in the sciences just as I am interested in math, and I hope that I can add meaningful contributions to Wikipedia in this subject matter.

History
The majority of articles that I will be a part of will be historically related articles; I find it very interesting to expand a stub of a historical figure. My first major edit on Wikipedia was the construction of the Edward Bancroft article, which I greatly enjoyed writing. Just like Mathematics and Science, I am very interested in history and am eager to learn more about it.

Random Stuff
Here I'll just list some random stuff that I'm particularly interested in:

*Harry Potter

*The Lord of the Rings

er...I'm sure I'll think of more later.
