Standardised community-authorised general sanctions templates
Overview
The purpose of this page is to centralise the various lists of topics that are presently under General Sanctions. There are four such lists:
- The human-readable list of sanctions of the form
Pages relating to <affected articles> (<link to arbitration case>) – <Additional notes about the sanctions> - The list of links to enforcement logs,
- A description of the sanctions in place,
- The list of links to any final decisions that contain remedies which authorise discretionary sanctions for the given topic area, and
- The list of affected articles.
Lists (2) and (3) are primarily used on templates used to give "warnings" of the existence of general sanctions or to serve notice to an editor who has actually been sanctioned. Please see here for an automatically-produced list of pages on which this template is used. Due to the ugly output of the list, this template deliberately appears blank. When new sanctions are authorised, this list and Template:Gs/topics/table should be updated.
Use
The template takes one parameter, the value for which depends on the type of list you want to return. Corresponding to the three lists specified in #Overview, the acceptable values for this parameter are |sanctions scope=, |sanctions link=, |sanctions sanctions=, |sanctions log=, and |list=. For example:

Alerting
- {{Gs/alert}}, to alert an editor to active sanctions
- {{Gs/talk notice}}, for announcing GS in a talk page messagebox
- {{Gs/editnotice}}, for topics, or individual pages, where additional restrictions apply
- EditFilter 602, which automates the logging of alerts
- Log of recent alerts
Enforcement

- {{Gs/topics}} & {{Gs/topics/table}}, the lists of topics currently under community sanctions
- Discretionary sanctions enforcement templates, the category for all standardised enforcement-related GS templates
- Various GS templates
- {{Ds/log}}, to display links for searching whether a user has ever been alerted; use like/alongside {{user}}.
Whenever community sanctions are (de)authorised for a topic, update Module:Sanctions/data.
