Article Images

Portions of the code are taken from Template:WikiProject Anime and manga; its history contains contributors.

This template is to be used on Talk pages. The most simple use of this template:

{{Classical greece and rome}}

produces

and adds the Talk page to the categories Category:Unassessed Classical Greece and Rome articles and Category:Unknown-importance Classical Greece and Rome articles.

The template can be made more effective in organizing pages by rating the article with Version 1.0 Editorial Team's Assessment Table (see below).

To do this, add "|class={add class name}" to the template like so:

{{Classical greece and rome|class=FA}}

which produces

and adds the Talk page to the categories [[:Category {insert class name} class Classical Greece and Rome articles]] and Category:Unknown-importance Classical Greece and Rome articles.

Importance can also be judged using the template through the importance scale, adding further depth to the classification. This is done by adding "|importance={insert importance level}" to the template like so:

{{Classical greece and rome|importance={add importance level}}

which produces

and adds the Talk page the categories Category:Unassessed Classical Greece and Rome articles and [[:Category:{add importance level}-importance Classical Greece and Rome articles]].

The Version 1.0 Editorial Team assessments for Classical Greece and Rome articles:

Using both together along with tools such as catscan and perhaps in the future bots, articles identified to be in need can be better attended to through organized collaberation. -PoptartKing 18:29, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I Will use commons:Image:1868 Lawrence Alma-Tadema - Phidias Showing the Frieze of the Parthenon to his Friends.jpg instead of en:Image:Parthenon_Alma_Tadema.jpg, two differences:

  • First is in commons, second in en,
  • Commons image has higher resolution.

I tested it and it looked good, no real apparent difference but it would if the user clicks on the image. Thanks, --JuanPDP 03:56, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

this template is broken, if no importance parameter is given, while a class parameter is, it doesn't work properly. It should set as default unassessed importance. 76.66.196.229 (talk) 05:37, 6 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The documenation should be moved to the /doc subpage. 76.66.196.229 (talk) 05:39, 6 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The links to the Quality and Importance scales are invalid. The correct links should be:

  • [[Category:Classical Greece and Rome articles by quality]]
  • [[Category:Classical Greece and Rome articles by importance]]

Please delete the "Main text" attribute from this template as its presence does not allow the message to render properly for catergories, templates, etc. Thank you  davidiad { t } 22:46, 10 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

  Done; the default message is more explanatory, and has a direct link to the project talk page. As an example, the text of the banner at the top of this particular page has changed from

The recent edit of 2 December removed the wikilink to the project page. Please restore the project link/project talk link. A sample of what it should look like is in the section above by RedRose. -- 65.94.78.9 (talk) 19:44, 7 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

It was fixed -- 65.94.78.9 (talk) 20:01, 7 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
