I've been a member of the English Wikipedia since March 2008. I am an active member of WikiProject NRHP and also do a lot of work related to WikiProject Historic Sites (largely inactive).

My main content creation consists of researching the history and progression of the Meridian and Lauderdale County area in Mississippi, and I have contributed a lot to the city's article and articles related to it – the most prevalent of which are listed below. I also do a lot of work with heritage registers, having been a key contributor to the List of Mississippi Landmarks, List of Michigan State Historic Sites, List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations, and List of National Monuments of Ireland. I helped create and help to maintain {{Infobox NRHP}} and {{Infobox Historic Site}}.

I also operate a bot, User:NationalRegisterBot, which periodically queries all articles linked from lists under the scope of WP:NRHP and dumps various information to its user subpages. The data produced by this bot is then used by various scripts to automate or semi-automate the tallying and upkeep of articles about NRHP listings. Most of this progress data can be found at WP:NRHPPROGRESS, and several county-level maps are generated from the data on that page. I have also made several scripts for non-NRHP/historic sites purposes, all of which are listed below.

Another project I have worked on is the {{ConvertAbbrev}} family. This template family, though a work in progress, is meant to make backdoor operations of Wikipedia easier by allowing abbreviations and long names to be used interchangeably (i.e. if a template needs ISO abbreviations for something, the template can use ConvertAbbrev to allow a user to simply type what comes naturally instead of having to remember those cryptic identifiers.) The template family consists of databases of abbreviations that I (and some others) have entered in by hand through many hours of work.

  • Create a script to generate a list of not-fully-illustrated counties sorted by how many images are outstanding.
  • Convert former NHL lists to use row templates after the row template itself has been updated.
  • Create a script to tag images used in NRHP lists (possibly other registers?) with the NRHP template on Commons using the methods in this CORS example. (requested by Rodw)
  • Possibly add in a check to CommonsCat script (and above) for coordinates to avoid errors while tagging/adding photos, as suggested by Aegoceras here.
  • Add feature to CommonsCat script to look in linked article for image(s) that may not be included in the table.
  • Learn from these two scripts and possibly modify Progress Page script to automatically update maps.

This page shows all the images I have uploaded, including historic postcards from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History's Cooper Postcard Collection.

Before I knew about Commons, I uploaded several pictures to the English Wikipedia (that have since been moved to Commons), and they do not show up in my gallery. Those images are displayed below.

To see a detailed breakdown of my editing activity, look here (may take a while to load). A full list of articles I've created can be found here. A list of the most notable articles that I've created (as well as as few that I didn't create but contributed a lot to) are listed below. Blue question marks ( ) denote DYKs, and green plus symbols ( ) denote good articles.
