  • Stained glass window in the Synagoge of Enschede (featured) and 'selected'.

  • Via Appia near Quarto Miglio (valued)

  • Early christian funerary inscription (valued)

  • What's the point? (a questionable geodetic marker) (quality image)

  • House altar, Herculaneum

  • Enschede, City Hall (Stadhuis)

  • Synagoge, Enschede, Mozaiek (priestly blessing). Strangely, it's quite popular as an illustration for the Vulcan salute, too.

Most Interesting (my pick)

edit

  • (To) Our Lord Honorius, the most noble and invincible, dedicated by Rufius Antonius Agrypnius Volusianus in 417-418. The blood on the inscription is real. A tourist had just cut herself.

  • Sepulchral inscription of Allia Potestas, by one of her two lovers, who extols on her beauty and virtue with considerable talent.

  • Urn for the ashes of Tiberius Claudius Chryseros, Julia Theonoes and Claudia Dorcas

  • Secutor vs Retirarius, note the theta nigrum, indicating the death of the gladiator. I found out what it was when the Italian wiki used the image in an article.

  • Sepulchral monument for "Sextus Rufius Achilleus, who lived seven months and nine days. Sextus Rufius Decibalus, whose lovely son he was, made this."

  • Bentheim Castle, Pulverturm, ("powdertower") from the 11th or 12th century.

  • Vinyard near Oberdollendorf. This is the most northern slope used for Viticulture along the river Rhine in Germany.

  • North view on Bonn
